Mewtwo Promo Card Coming as Gift With Purchase
Spend $15 on Pokémon TCG products from October 2, 2026 and get a stamped 30th Celebration Mewtwo promo card as a gift with purchase at participating retailers.
Pokémon has announced a new Mewtwo promo card to mark the release of 30th Celebration, and getting one is simple. Starting October 2, 2026, spending $15 or more on Pokémon TCG products at participating retailers earns you the card as a gift with purchase.
The card
This is a Basic Mewtwo with 130 HP, illustrated by nagimiso, and it comes with two attacks. Empower attaches up to 2 Basic Energy cards from your discard pile to one of your Pokémon, and Psydrive hits for 120 with the cost of discarding an Energy from Mewtwo.

What makes it a promo is the stamping: the artwork carries both the Pokémon 30 logo and the What’s Your Favorite? logo. The card is numbered 063/128, which matches the main set’s numbering, so this looks like a specially stamped version of a set card rather than a standalone promo number.
Mewtwo is getting a double dose of spotlight this anniversary. Beyond this stamped promo, the set also has a Futuristic Rare Mewtwo ex as one of its chase cards, numbered 157/128 above the main set count, which we covered when the 30th Celebration set list leaked early. That one you pull from packs if you are lucky. This gift-with-purchase version you can simply pick up by shopping.
How to get it
The details are straightforward:
- Starts October 2, 2026
- Spend $15 or more on Pokémon TCG products at participating retailers
- Valid both in-store and online
- While supplies last
That $15 threshold is low. A couple of booster packs or almost any 30th Celebration product will clear it, so if you were already planning a pickup in early October, time it for after the 2nd and the Mewtwo comes along for free.
The promo also ships with a separate card carrying a QR code that points fans to information about the Pokémon Night Out experience. We don’t have details on what that involves yet, but the QR insert suggests Pokémon is using this promo as a bridge to something bigger around the anniversary.
The set it celebrates
30th Celebration releases worldwide on September 16, 2026, less than a week from now, marking 30 years of Pokémon. The set mixes new artwork with reprints of classic cards, plus the headline gimmick: 30 unique Pikachu rare cards, with one Pikachu card guaranteed in every booster pack. We got our first look at three of those when Pokémon revealed Pikachu cards from the set back in August, and Japan’s version has already shown off its full spread of chase cards and rarities.
Stamped gift-with-purchase promos like this tend to disappear fast once collectors realize supplies are limited, so plan your October purchase early if you want one in hand. And if you’re chasing the set itself, you can browse 30th Celebration singles instead of gambling on packs.
