30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Boxes Out Today

The two 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collections hit shelves today, November 6. There is a Day version built around Espeon ex and a Night version built around Umbreon ex, each priced at $179.99 and sold at the Pokémon Center and wherever Pokémon TCG products are carried. We flagged both boxes in our November release roundup, and now that they’re here, this is the full breakdown of what’s inside.

Two boxes, one set

The Day box carries an Espeon silhouette on a green-to-blue gradient, with the holographic “30” Pikachu face front and center. The Night box swaps in Umbreon. Beyond the featured Eeveelution, the two products mirror each other: same pack count, same accessory lineup, same price. Which one you grab comes down to whether you want Espeon or Umbreon on your promos, playmat, and coin.

Each collection contains:

• 1 Pikachu ex promo card with either a day or a night theme
• 1 foil promo card featuring Espeon ex (Day) or Umbreon ex (Night)
• 29 Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration booster packs
• 1 special Classic Collection booster pack with three cards from the expansion’s Classic Collection
• 1 playmat featuring Pikachu plus Espeon or Umbreon
• 1 metal coin featuring Espeon or Umbreon
• Card sleeves and a deck box

The Pikachu ex promos

The headline promo in each box is a Pikachu ex illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN, themed to day or night depending on the version. YOSHIROTTEN is the artist behind the set’s Futuristic Rare Mewtwo ex and Mew ex, the debut rarity that sits at the top of 30th Celebration’s numbering, so these promos extend that same look to Pikachu.

The Espeon ex and Umbreon ex cards are officially described as foil promos. If you’re an Eeveelution collector, this is where you get them, since these promo versions don’t come out of booster packs.

30 packs of 30th Celebration

The pack count is the other big selling point. You get 29 standard 30th Celebration boosters plus the three-card Classic Collection pack, for 30 packs total. The set itself has been out since September 16 and is all foil, every booster carries one of 30 unique Pikachu illustrations, and the 30 classic reprints include cards like Base Set Charizard. The Classic Collection pack guarantees three of those reprints, which is a nice touch since they’re otherwise a matter of pack luck.

One note on legality: the Classic Collection reprints aren’t Standard legal. They’re playable only in formats that allow the original printings, so treat them as collection pieces first.

Release-day timing

Today is a busy release day. Delta Reign launches alongside these boxes, and the Kyogre, Groudon, and Giratina gift-with-purchase promos also start today at participating retailers, where spending $15 on Pokémon TCG products earns a bonus promo card. A $179.99 Ultra-Premium Collection clears that bar easily, so check whether your store is participating before you check out.

Current prices for every card in the set are on our 30th Celebration card price list. And if you’d rather chase specific cards than rip 30 packs, you can browse 30th Celebration singles and pick up exactly what you’re missing.
