Rayquaza Box Adds Delta Reign's Missing Full Art February 12

The full art Mega Rayquaza ex that was cut from Delta Reign finally has a confirmed home. On October 29, The Pokémon Company pulled the wraps off the Mega Rayquaza ex Premium Tournament Collection, which arrives February 12, 2027 and packs that missing full art as a foil promo.

When details of this collection first surfaced, the release was reported as November 20 of this year. The official reveal moves it to next February, three months after Delta Reign itself hits shelves on November 6.

The Full Art That Skipped the Set

Mega Rayquaza is the spotlight Pokémon for Delta Reign, but the English set only includes two versions of Mega Rayquaza ex: the standard Double Rare and the Special Illustration Rare by Kozuki Minami. The full art version never made it into English booster packs.

This collection is where it lands instead. The promo in the box is that exact full art treatment, so if you want it, this is the product to get. No amount of Delta Reign pack opening will produce it.

The card has competitive relevance too. Mega Rayquaza ex sees play in Japan, typically slotted into Mega Kangaskhan ex decks, so this promo should appeal to players as well as set collectors.

What’s in the Box

The collection comes in a green-and-gold box. The contents:

• Foil promo full art Mega Rayquaza ex
• Three foil promo cards: Zinnia’s Trust, Adventure Lantern, and Mega Rayquaza Cap
• A pair of cards that join together into a single Legendary Summit Stadium
• A themed box holding 65 Dragon Shield card sleeves
• A Dragon Shield deck box
• A plastic Pokémon coin
• Eight booster packs
• A code card for Pokémon TCG Live

The Legendary Summit Stadium uses the two-card Stadium mechanic that Delta Reign introduced with Legendary Pyroduct, where two separate cards combine into a single oversized Stadium.

Product shots show the eight packs split evenly: four Delta Reign and four Pitch Black. That’s two more packs than the 2025 Iono and Lillie Premium Tournament Collections carried. The packs come from two different 2026 sets.

First Dragon Shield Partnership

The sleeves and deck box mark the first time The Pokémon Company International has worked with Dragon Shield. Previous releases in this product line used Ultra Pro for both.

Dragon Shield has a strong reputation among TCG players for sleeve durability, so this is a meaningful accessory upgrade for a tournament-focused product. The 65 sleeves come in their own thematic box.

Release and Pricing

The Mega Rayquaza ex Premium Tournament Collection releases February 12, 2027. No pricing has been confirmed yet, so look for the official MSRP closer to launch.

In the meantime, Delta Reign arrives November 6 with the Double Rare and Special Illustration Rare versions of Mega Rayquaza ex in packs. Presale prices for Delta Reign products are tracked on our Delta Reign set page ahead of the release. And if you’d rather skip the pack lottery for the versions that are in the set, you can browse Mega Rayquaza ex singles once Delta Reign drops.
