Misty's Psyduck Illustration Rare Debuts in China's Gem Pack 7

China is getting a brand new Illustration Rare of Misty’s Psyduck, and it will likely never leave the region. The card debuts in China’s seventh Gem Pack series booster, releasing November 6, with a lineup built around Psyduck and Owner’s Pokémon.

The New Misty’s Psyduck

The art puts Psyduck front and center on a beach chair, beach ball balanced on its head, with Misty posing in the background under a beach umbrella. It is a full-scene Illustration Rare in the same style collectors know from the main TCG lines.

How Gem Packs Are Structured

Gem Packs work differently from a standard expansion. This seventh release features 28 different Pokémon, and each one gets seven numbered cards:

• Six holo variations of its regular art
• One Illustration Rare

That adds up to 196 cards total, and every single one is holo. Each booster pack contains four random cards, so you are always pulling foils, and the chase within each Pokémon’s lineup is the lone Illustration Rare at the end of its numbering.

It is a collector-focused format. With every Pokémon capped at seven cards, completing a full run for a single Pokémon is a realistic goal.

Expect This One to Stay in China

Gem Pack cards are printed for the Chinese market, and this Misty’s Psyduck will likely remain exclusive to China. There is no indication it will cross over into Japanese or English sets, so if the card ends up in Western collections, it will be through imports rather than a reprint.

For Misty fans and Psyduck collectors, that means tracking it down through import sellers once the set is out.

A Busy November 6

The release date lands on the same day as Delta Reign, the English Mega Evolution set arriving worldwide. November 6 is a packed day for new cards on both sides of the Pacific.
