LEGO Reveals Five New Pokémon Sets Including Poké Ball Display
LEGO and The Pokémon Company International announce five new Pokémon sets, including a 2,368-piece Poké Ball with the first Trainer minifigures.
The first-ever LEGO Pokémon Trainer minifigures are finally happening. LEGO and The Pokémon Company International announced five new sets on 7 July 2026 in Billund, Denmark, and the headline piece is a brick-built Poké Ball packed with figures collectors have wanted for years.
If you’ve been building out a Pokémon shelf alongside your card collection, this drop is worth paying attention to.
The Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball
The set stealing the spotlight is the LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball, set number 72154. At 2,368 pieces, it’s a serious build. The large brick-built Poké Ball opens and closes to reveal scenes from a Trainer’s journey inside.
More importantly for collectors, this is the debut of Pokémon Trainer minifigures. The set includes Professor Oak, Picnicker, and Red, plus Pikachu and Eevee figures. That’s a first for the LEGO Pokémon line, and I’d expect these minifigures to become the most chased part of the whole assortment.
Rayquaza and the Sky Pillar
The LEGO Pokémon Rayquaza set is a 1,083-piece build that recreates the Sky Pillar scene from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. It ships with an exclusive minifigure of Lorekeeper Zinnia, which is a nice touch for fans of that era.
Rayquaza is one of the most recognisable Legendary Pokémon, so a display version like this makes sense as a centrepiece.
Arcanine and Munchlax
Two more Pokémon get the brick treatment. The LEGO Pokémon Arcanine is a 1,190-piece, fully posable build of the Kanto fire-type, so you can adjust its stance rather than lock it into one pose.
The LEGO Pokémon Munchlax set comes in at 757 pieces and stands over 18 cm high. Its arms and head are posable, and the set includes treats to play up Munchlax’s well-known appetite. It’s the smaller, more approachable option of the group.
Up-Scaled Red Minifigure
Rounding out the line is the LEGO Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure, set number 40868, with over 930 pieces. It’s a supersized version of Red in his red hat, blue trousers, backpack, and pin-adorned vest, holding a Poké Ball. The build has posable arms and legs and a rotating head.
