First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3: Hoenn and Kalos Starter Promos Revealed
All promo card designs for the final First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 boxes are confirmed — Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie all illustrated by Saboteri.
The promo card designs for the final First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 boxes are now confirmed. Two boxes complete the lineup: one built around the Hoenn starters and one around the Kalos starters, with all six cards illustrated by Saboteri. Each box includes three promo cards, two 30th Celebration booster packs, and a paper card display stand.
Hoenn Starters: Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip
Treecko — 107/M-P
Torchic — 108/M-P
Mudkip — 109/M-P
Each Hoenn starter is placed in a vivid scene drawn from the region’s atmosphere. Treecko leaps through a lush jungle backdrop scattered with berries and exploration gear. Torchic stands in a bright seaside town under clear skies. Mudkip rides through a futuristic coastal cityscape. All three carry the 30th anniversary Pikachu stamp.
Kalos Starters: Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie
Chespin — 116/M-P
Fennekin — 117/M-P
Froakie — 118/M-P
The Kalos box leans into the region’s European identity. Chespin races down a stone avenue surrounded by fashion items and city architecture. Fennekin floats above a Paris-inspired skyline with pastry displays below. Froakie poses against a prismatic backdrop of crystals and Kalos landmarks. The illustration quality across both boxes matches the standard set by Series 1 and 2.
Series 3 Completes with Paldean Starters
The third and final box in Series 3 covers the Paldean trio. Sprigatito (125/M-P), Fuecoco (126/M-P), and Quaxly (127/M-P) complete the run, bringing the full Series 3 count to nine promos across all three boxes and rounding out all 27 starter Pokémon across the entire First Partner Illustration Collection line.
Sprigatito · Fuecoco · Quaxly — 125–127/M-P
The Saboteri Factor
All six First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 promo cards are illustrated by Saboteri, one of the most consistently popular illustrators in the modern Japanese TCG. Series 1 and 2 promos from this product line have held steady demand as sealed collectibles, and Saboteri’s involvement gives Series 3 the same collector credibility.
Worth Picking Up?
Each box includes three promos, two 30th Celebration booster packs, and a paper card display stand. The English release lands on August 7th at $14.99 per box, which is solid value for the promo cards alone. The Kalos starters in particular have a devoted fanbase that tends to drive demand on related products.
