Delta Reign Officially Announced With November 6 Release

Pokémon confirms Mega Evolution Delta Reign for November 6, 2026, with Mega Rayquaza ex, over 135 cards, and a new Legendary Stadium mechanic.

Delta Reign Officially Announced With November 6 Release

It’s official. The Pokémon Company International announced today that Mega Evolution Delta Reign arrives at retailers worldwide on November 6, 2026, headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex.

This is the English release of Japan’s Storm Emeralda set, and the announcement lines up with what we’ve been tracking for weeks, including the leaked gold Mega Rayquaza ex and SIR cards that surfaced back in July. What’s new today is the official framing, the card counts, and one mechanic we hadn’t seen confirmed for English until now.

Mega Rayquaza Returns After a Decade Away

The Sky High Pokémon is back in the TCG for the first time since XY Ancient Origins, which is a long gap for one of the most popular cards of the XY era. Mega Rayquaza ex leads the set alongside three other Mega Evolutions:

  • Mega Golurk ex
  • Mega Malamar ex
  • Mega Golisopod ex

All four appeared in the Japanese main set, so competitive players have already had a preview of what these cards do. Worth remembering for deck builders: the Japanese print of Mega Rayquaza ex is a Colorless-type Basic, not a Dragon.

Set Size and Rarity Breakdown

The official numbers give us a clearer picture of the pull structure:

  • Over 135 cards total
  • More than 20 Trainer cards
  • Over 35 cards with special illustrations
  • 17 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards
  • Six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards

Six SIRs is a tighter chase list than some recent sets, which usually concentrates demand on those slots. The leaked SIR Mega Golurk ex and Mega Golisopod ex we covered previously look like strong candidates for that group, though the official announcement doesn’t confirm the SIR lineup.

Legendary Stadiums Are the New Mechanic

The standout detail from today’s press release is the Legendary Stadium feature. A Legendary Stadium is created by combining two Stadium cards, played as a pair, and the two cards form an extended artwork when placed next to each other.

Delta Reign includes six Stadium cards that create three Legendary Stadiums. The practical detail collectors will care about: booster packs containing a Legendary Stadium include both halves, so you won’t be stuck hunting the other side of the artwork pack by pack.

The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box

Product images are already out, including the Pokémon Center version of the Elite Trainer Box with a green Rayquaza design. If you’re new to ETBs, our Elite Trainer Box breakdown covers the format, but the Pokémon Center version here comes loaded.

It contains 11 booster packs, two full-art foil Kyogre promo cards (one stamped with the Pokémon Center logo), 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player’s guide, damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die, a plastic coin, and a collector’s box with six dividers. That Kyogre promo has clean stormy-ocean artwork and gives water fans a reason to look at this box specifically.
