Espeon, Umbreon, and Pikachu ex Boxes Revealed

Three new 30th Celebration products have been officially revealed for Japan, each built around a different headliner card. Here is a breakdown of what is coming.

Premium Deck Set Espeon/Umbreon

The 30th Celebration Premium Deck Set Espeon/Umbreon releases on September 16, 2026 at 6,200 yen (tax included). The set contains two full 60-card decks: one built around Espeon ex and one around Umbreon ex.

The headline cards are Special Illustration Rares numbered beyond the set’s main count, illustrated by REND:

Both cards carry the 30th anniversary branding worked directly into the card art. Espeon ex (260 HP) uses Sunshine Beat, dealing 30 damage times the number of your Pokémon in play. Umbreon ex (270 HP) uses Lunatic Claw, starting at 100 damage and climbing to 140 if the opponent’s Active Pokémon has damage counters.

Beyond the decks, the box includes damage counter sheets, two Pokémon coins, a playmat, a slide-style double deck case, a beginner’s guide, and a player’s guide. It is a complete ready-to-play set rather than a collector’s-only item.

Futuristic Box: Two Pikachu ex FUR Promos

The 30th Celebration FUTURISTIC BOX releases alongside the set on September 16, 2026 at 27,500 yen (approximately $171). It includes two Pikachu ex promo cards in Futuristic Rare (FUR) style — the new rarity debuting with the 30th Celebration set — one day-themed and one night-themed.

Both are 190 HP. The day-themed Pikachu ex (131/M-P) carries the Pikachu Parade Ability and hits with Hundred Thousand Volts for 200 damage. The night-themed Pikachu ex (132/M-P) has a Sparkling Fever Ability and uses Thunder for 200 damage. Both feature the rainbow-hued Futuristic Rare treatment that sets this new rarity apart visually.

The rest of the box is accessories: two Pokémon coins, twelve metal damage counter dice, an oversize card, special dice shakers, a flip gauge, display frames, a rubber playmat, a flip damage counter case, and a flip playmat case.

Distribution opens via lottery at Pokémon Center Online, with wider availability expected later at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and Amazon’s Pokémon Store.

30th Celebration Card Set: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly

A third product, the 30th Celebration Card Set, spotlights the three Paldean starters. Sprigatito (125/M-P), Fuecoco (126/M-P), and Quaxly (127/M-P) each receive vibrant celebration-art promo treatments.

Release details for this product have not been separately confirmed, but it aligns with the September 16 anniversary window.

Collector Takeaway

The Premium Deck Set is the most accessible of the three. Both decks are playable out of the box, and the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Special Illustration Rares carry obvious collector appeal given the Eeveelution fanbase. At 6,200 yen the price is fair for two deck builds plus accessories.

The Futuristic Box is the chase item. At 27,500 yen, it is firmly a premium collector’s product. For collectors targeting first-print Futuristic Rare cards, the two Pikachu ex FUR promos are the draw. The lottery distribution model at launch is worth tracking early if you are planning to secure one.
